William Smith College first-year Janey Sypeck led the Herons' defense in a 2-1 week in the Liberty League tournament. She had eight caused turnovers and five ground balls on the week. On Tuesday against St. Lawrence, she had one caused turnover and two ground balls as the Herons beat the Siants 19-6.  On Friday in the semifinals, she had four caused turnovers as the William Smith defense limited Union to its season-low three goals. In the championship game against Ithaca, Sypeck had three caused turnovers and three ground balls. She is second on the team with 28 caused turnovers.
