University of Rochester first-year athlete Nora Chen earned her first Liberty League outdoor championship title on Saturday, claiming first place in the 400-meter hurdles at the conference meet at RPI. Chen ran a time of 1:01.86 to win by over four seconds and post the sixth-best time currently on the NCAA Division III performance list. Chen also finished on UR’s 4x400 meter relay team that placed fourth in 4:03.19. Chen’s other individual event was the 100 meter dash where she placed 10th in 12.99 seconds. The UR rookie qualified for the AARTFC meet in both the hurdles and relay.
