Liberty League announces weekly award winners for Sept. 5
The Liberty League announced that 22 student-athletes in nine different sports have been recognized for outstanding play during the opening week of Sept. 1-4. Skidmore College junior forward Emma Basso helped the Thoroughbreds to a strong opening weekend. Basso, the Offensive Performer of the Week in women's soccer, matched her career total by scoring four goals in Skidmore's first two games - victories over Bridgewater State and New England College. After recording the game-winning goal in a 2-1 season-opening victory over Bridgewater, she notched a hat trick the next day in a 4-0 win over New England College.
