TROY, N.Y. – Liberty League commissioner Tracy King has announced that 236 winter sport student-athletes have qualified for the league's 2015-16 All-Academic Teams in their respective sports.

The winter championship sports include men's and women's basketball, men's squash, and men's and women's swimming and diving. To be recognized as a member of the All-Academic team a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20.

"The Liberty League takes great pride in the academic achievements of our student-athletes," said King. "The outstanding students who have qualified for the league's All-Academic Teams continue to demonstrate that it is possible to not only compete at the highest levels of Division III, but to also excel in the classroom."

Erikson Wasyl, a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection in men's basketball, and William Smith College junior Melanie Patterson, a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection in women's basketball, highlight the list of Liberty League All-Academic Team members.
