Player of the Year: Madi Mendiola, Jr., Mount Holyoke College
Mount Holyoke College junior Madi Mendiola was selected as the Liberty League Golfer of the Year. Mendiola currently ranks 12th in the region and 42nd in the nation - tops among all Liberty League golfers. Her 79.88 scoring average over eight tournaments and 16 rounds was the best in the Liberty League and also a Mount Holyoke single-season record. The team captain of a Mount Holyoke squad that included eight freshmen, two sophomores and two juniors, Mendiola helped the Lyons to a No. 5 ranking in the region and 30th in Division III. She finished ninth or better in six events, including four in the top-five. The runner-up at the Liberty League Championship, Mendiola tied for the top score in the second round with an 80. She was a five-time Liberty League Performer of the Week selection during the past year.
Rookie of the Year: June Conti, Fr., Mount Holyoke College
Mount Holyoke College freshman June Conti was selected as the Liberty League Rookie of the Year for 2013-14. A four-time selection as Liberty League Rookie of the Week, Conti posted an 82.25 scoring average over eight tournaments and 16 rounds. She ranks 27th in the region and is the Liberty League's highest-ranked freshman. Conti finished 16th or better in seven tournaments, including three top-10 finishes. She was fourth individually at the Liberty League Championship - the highest finish for a first-year player, which earned her All-Liberty League first-team honors. Conti was a four-time Liberty League Rookie of the Week selection during the past year.
Coaching Staff of the Year: Mount Holyoke College - Tim Walko, Head Coach
Mount Holyoke College head coach Tim Walko was selected as the Liberty League Coach of the Year. Walko guided the Lyons to one of best seasons in program history as his squad ranks fifth regionally and 30th nationally in Division III. The Lyons finished in the top-10 in all eight tournaments, including six in the top five. Walko's team, which featured four first-year players among the top five, won the Liberty League Championship a year after finishing fifth in 2013. All five of Mount Holyoke's players earned All-Liberty League honors by finishing in the top 10 at the league championship. Walko's team garnered 12 weekly league honors in 2013-14.
