Despite playing with a severely sprained shoulder that sapped his power in the final month of the season, Kinney led the conference and ranks among the national leaders in batting average (.467). He also led the league in hits (63) and finished the season with five straight complete games (7 overall) as a pitcher. He became Clarkson's alltime leader in hits, doubles, extra-base hits, total bases, slugging percentage, batting average, and home runs.

PITCHER OF THE YEAR
Jon Menke, Jr., University of Rochester

As Rochester's #1 starter, Menke posted a 5-2 record and an ERA of 2.83. He threw three-hit shutouts over Clarkson (7-0 at CU) and RIT (1-0 at RIT)... 4-1 in Liberty play with 3.21 ERA... Beat St. Lawrence (3-2, 3 hits in 6 IP), RPI (8 hits in 6 IP), Clarkson, Union (4 hits in 5.1 IP), and RIT. Only league loss came vs. Skidmore (6-2 at SC).

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR
John Coleman, Fr., SS, Clarkson University

Coleman started every game in 2012 as the team's starting shortstop and finished with only 10 errors on
the season, including just seven over the final 37 games. He finished second on the team in runs, hits, and doubles, and came within one hit of tying Clarkson's freshman record. He batted .324 and, impressivley, was also the Liberty League men's basketball rookie of the year.
